Join ASC’s Membership Drive! Every dollar of membership dues are paid directly to the beneficiary, Nexus Recovery Center. We are encouraging our members to recruit your women colleagues, classmates, mentors, mentees, and friends in the legal profession to join ASC. With your help, we will track who is referring the most new members. At the end of the Membership Drive, the person who recruits the most new members will receive a fabulous prize (as shown on social media)—to be awarded at our Monthly Planning Meeting on December 6, 2022—and we will promote the winner and her company on social media.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Tell everyone you know about ASC! Encourage your contacts who are women lawyers and law students to join ASC at this link: https://www.ascdallas.com/membership/. Information about membership levels is found on ASC’s website, here. We welcome all ranges of involvement as each member’s bandwidth permits.

Be sure your recruits mention your name! To get credit for referring a “new member,” ask your recruit to email Jeanne Selzer (jeanneselzer@gmail.com), ASC’s Co-Chair of Membership, and let Jeanne know you recruited her. A “new member” is any member who has not yet paid membership dues benefiting ASC’s 2022-2023 beneficiary—Nexus Recovery Center—even if the person has been an ASC member in previous years. Each new member counts as one recruit regardless of the membership level she selects. Reach out to Jeanne to confirm you get credit for your recruit or with membership-related questions.

ABOUT ASC

Attorneys Serving the Community (ASC) is a dynamic volunteer organization of women lawyers and law students from the DFW Metroplex. Our mission is to bring together women lawyers who collectively utilize our resources and talents to support local non-profit organizations whose programs benefit women, children, or families. ASC is also committed to providing our members with leadership and networking opportunities as we carry out our primary mission of serving the community. ASC’s fundraising and networking events culminate in an annual luncheon, which occurs in June each year. ABOUT NEXUS RECOVERY

ASC is honored to raise funds and awareness for Nexus Recovery Center this year. Nexus serves as a community of hope and sobriety for women and their families who strive to live healthy, resilient lives. Nexus will use ASC funds to provide treatment and care for women and children affected by substance abuse disorders while in Nexus's Pregnant and Parenting Women with Children and Child Development Center Programs. Nexus is one of only a few facilities in Texas that serves pregnant women before and after childbirth and invites women to bring as many as three children, ages 0-12, with them into treatment. Now more than ever, Nexus's services are essential for this high-need group to provide specialty therapies, build healthy mothers, ensure healthy birth outcomes for infants, and provide a safe and secure place for women and children to build resilience and thrive.
