Development
This committee is ASC’s primary source of fundraising. We provide training on raising money.
[toggle title="Underwriting Committee"]This committee is vital to each year’s success. The committee is responsible for developing an Excel spreadsheet of target corporations, vendors, and law firms; preparing and either emailing or mailing (as appropriate) an underwriting packet for the corporations, vendors, and law firms; and following up to encourage donations and sponsorships. Training in fundraising is provided.

Day of the Luncheon
These committees coordinate everything needed for the day of the luncheon.
[toggle title="Centerpiece Committee"]This committee is responsible for designing the concept for the centerpieces and having them produced, preparing any written tags for the centerpieces, and working with the Beneficiary to provide table envelopes for centerpiece sales.

[toggle title="Luncheon Arrangements Committee"]This committee is responsible for all facets of organizing the yearly luncheon, including choosing and coordinating the hotel, menu, pre-luncheon reception, valet parking, audio/visual equipment, security for the audio/visual equipment and temporary liquor license; as well as creating the pre-luncheon slide show presentation; managing all set-up, registration, and any book signing details; working with the Beneficiary to provide donation envelopes for the tables, collection of all envelopes from the tables post-luncheon, reviewing and negotiating all necessary contracts, and managing all volunteers.

[toggle title="Signage Committee"]This committee is responsible for working with the graphics designer through the graphics liaison to design all signage for the Silent Auction and the Luncheon and finding and coordinating a vendor to provide the signage.

[toggle title="Speaker Committee"]This committee is responsible for managing all the details related to the luncheon’s speaker, from start to finish. This includes working with the Beneficiary and a speakers bureau to identify potential speakers, negotiating and finalizing the contract, providing support for the chosen speaker both pre-luncheon and on the day of the luncheon, including coordinating calls with the speaker, creating the speaker’s schedule, arranging all transportation for the speaker, providing any special requests of the speaker, and escorting the speaker on the day of the luncheon.

[toggle title="Video Committee"]This committee is responsible for collaborating with the Beneficiary to create a 6-minute video to be shown at the luncheon, including selecting a vendor, negotiating a contract with the vendor, and drafting a script for the video. [/toggle]
Special Committees
These committees are special projects that we undertake in support of the beneficiary or ASC.
[toggle title="5K Run"]This committee organizes all facets of a 5K run, which usually takes place in February, around Valentine’s Day. The committee is responsible for coordinating the location of the event, determining the date of the event with input from the ASC Luncheon Co-Chairs, promoting the event, securing 5k sponsors, and organizing corporate teams. [toggle title="Charity Selection"]Chaired by the outgoing ASC Luncheon Co-Chair for the preceding year. Responsible for distributing beneficiary applications to non-profit organizations who have requested one, reviewing the applications and selecting candidates for site visits, making site visits, selecting three finalists, and handling all aspects of the Charity Selection Meeting, including all coordination with the three finalists who are invited to make presentations at the meeting./toggle]
[toggle title="Scrapbook/Historian"]This committee is responsible for keeping the archives for ASC, including past luncheon invitations and programs and taking informal photographs of ASC events throughout the year. [/toggle]
[toggle title="Silent Auction"]This committee is responsible for handling all aspects of this event, including coordinating the location of the event and all food and drinks; working with the graphics designer and graphics liaison to design the invitation; coordinating with ASC membership and the beneficiary to obtain silent auction items; and organizing the silent auction, including preparing a spreadsheet of all silent auction items, preparing the silent auction preview, gathering all silent auction items, preparing the items and bid sheets for the silent auction, and collecting the money from all silent auction winners. [toggle title="Technology"]This committee is responsible for web site content, coordinating with committees to make updates, and coordinating with the beneficiary to ensure links to web sites and events are accurate, functional and updated. [/toggle]
Member Outreach
These committees work in close contact with our members to promote ASC and our members.
[toggle title="Communications"]This committee is responsible for keeping the minutes of each ASC planning meeting and drafting and emailing the minutes and other information to the ASC membership and beneficiary representatives in a monthly newsletter. This includes preparing a monthly profile of an ASC member and the monthly “Name that Lawyer” question. This committee is also responsible for coordinating with the Social Media and Technology committees to update ASC’s Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter profiles, as well as the ASC webpage. [/toggle]
[toggle title="Membership"]This committee is responsible for all administration relating to ASC members, including tracking the membership status of all ASC members in an Excel spreadsheet, collecting all membership forms and dues, promoting ASC to new members, maintaining and updating all membership-related forms, coordinating with the beneficiary regarding ASC membership lists and/or dues, and working with the Invitations and Programs committees to provide updated ASC membership lists for the invitations and programs. [toggle title="Meeting Arrangements"]This committee is responsible for finding hosts for the ASC monthly planning meetings and working with the hosts or caterers to provide lunch for the meetings, if possible. [/toggle]
[toggle title="Networking"]This committee is responsible for holding events for ASC members that allow them to facilitate connections within the legal community and network with a purpose. [/toggle]
[toggle title="Referral List"]This committee is responsible for implementing, creating, and updating an ASC referral list from information provided by ASC members. [/toggle]
[toggle title="Social Media"]This committee is responsible coordinating with other committees to make updates to ASC’s Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter accounts. [/toggle]
Public Outreach
These committees focus on our contact with the public and the materials that represent ASC.

[toggle title="Invitations"]This committee is responsible for designing the Luncheon invitation (in conjunction with a graphics designer and the Programs Committee), creating the invitation list (using underwriting Excel spreadsheets, the ASC member list, beneficiary contacts, and the list from the State Bar of Texas of all women lawyers licensed in Dallas, Collin, and Denton Counties), and arranging the printing, addressing, stuffing, and mailing of the invitation. [toggle title="Programs"]This committee is responsible for working with the Invitations Committee and a graphic designer to design the Luncheon program, coordinating with the other Luncheon committees and the beneficiary to compile the content for the Luncheon program, and arranging the printing and delivery of the programs for the Luncheon.

[toggle title="Publicity"]This committee is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the publicity for the Luncheon both pre-luncheon and post-luncheon, including coordinating with The Margulies Group, working with a graphics designer to design D CEO and Texas Lawyer ads, and choosing and coordinating with the photographer for the Silent Auction and pre-luncheon reception.
