Hope Supply Company
Hope Supply Company is the only organization which exists solely to supplement the inadequate supply of basic and critical need items for children in North Texas. The items are distributed through our network of 70+ nonprofit partner agencies.
By working with these carefully vetted partners with wraparound services such as job counseling and rehab, we are helping families break the cycle of homelessness and poverty. We believe that basics are not just basics, they’re essential.
As a community we must remember that their problems are our problems
Hope Supply Co. was founded in 1989 as the Hope Foundation for the Homeless and served as a clearinghouse of donated resources for the homeless. During the early 1990's, mothers with babies and children became the fastest growing segment of the homeless population and an increasing number of babies were being born into homelessness. Because of this alarming trend, the board of directors changed the name of the organization to Captain Hope's Kids in 1996, reflecting the organization's new focus on meeting the needs of the most vulnerable of the homeless population, the children.
In 2015, the name of the organization was changed to Hope Supply Co. to better reflect our mission of supplying critically needed items to children. Hope Supply Co. has grown to be the largest diaper bank in North Texas and the fourth largest in the country. In 2018, we distributed 1,757,767 critical items valued at over $2.8 million to over 70 partner agencies. This year we are celebrating our 30th anniversary of serving our children.
We meet the critical needs of homeless and at-risk children across North Texas by providing necessities including diapers, clothing, school supplies, toys and programs to enhance their lives.
