ASC Outgoing Lead Chair Letter

Beth Bedell
2017-2018 Lead Chair
On behalf of Attorneys Serving the Community, I am pleased to report that our 32nd Annual Luncheon – a Pot of Gold Luncheon benefiting Rainbow Days – was a huge success! Thanks to our generous patrons and sponsors, we raised over $280,000 for Rainbow Days!
We’ve heard from numerous attendees who were moved by Liz Murray’s keynote address, which called for us all to focus on what we can do to help the children in our community. After the luncheon, Liz personally met with the Rainbow Days’ children who performed and stayed until she had signed all of their t-shirts. The children had the opportunity to vocalize how they connected with her story. It was a touching moment they will not soon forget.
ASC is grateful for Cathey Brown, Rainbow Days’ Founder and CEO, Tiffany Beaudine, Rainbow Days’ Director of Development, and Sunni Roaten, Rainbow Days’ Volunteer and Events Manager. Rainbow Days and the Dallas community are lucky to have them working so passionately to create positive futures for our children. ASC also extends its thanks to Jessica Thorne, our Honorary Chair, Shelly Slater, our Mistress of Ceremonies, and our PwC award recipients, all of whom played a critical role in the luncheon’s success.

On a personal note, I am eternally grateful for my Co-Chair, Jessica O’Neill, and for all of ASC’s Committee Co-Chairs and members who spent countless hours ensuring ASC’s success. When I joined ASC in 2005, the idea of leading of such an impactful organization seemed like a distant dream. This past year was the experience of a lifetime that I will never forget.
Best wishes,
Beth Bedell
