Kara Altenbaumer-Price

2015 – 2016 Lead Chair

Ms. Altenbaumer-Price is Senior Vice President, Corporate Risk & Governance for insurance broker USI Management & Professional Services Group. She counsels public company and pre-IPO clients on corporate governance, executive and corporate risk, and professional liability insurance language, issues, and claims. Prior to joining USI in 2010, Ms. Altenbaumer-Price practiced in the commercial litigation group of Hughes & Luce and the Corporate Compliance, Investigations & Defense group at Andrews Kurth. She is a summa cum laude graduate from Texas Tech University School of Law, where she was Order of the Coif and served on both Law Review and the Board of Barristers. She holds a Bachelor of Journalism with honors from The University of Texas at Austin. Ms. Altenbaumer-Price was named the Graduate of the Last Decade by Texas Tech University School of Law in 2013. She has also been named a Rising Star in Corporate Governance by Texas Monthly and was a finalist for D Magazine’s Corporate Counsel Awards in 2014. Ms. Altenbaumer-Price has been part of Attorneys Serving the Community since 2004. In addition to ASC, she is active in the community as a board member of the Dallas Division of the March of Dimes, a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society Texas Steering Committee, and a member of the Lake Highlands Junior Women’s League.
